Lebanon

Lebanon is the country equivalent of small but mighty; it's geographically small but is a giant in history, landscapes and cuisine. Nestled cozily in the heart of the Middle East, Lebanon is a gem waiting to be discovered.

The main language is Arabic but don’t worry if you can’t speak Arabic as the locals often colloquially mix French and English. If you are a foodie, Lebanon will leave you craving for more with mouthwatering dishes like kibbeh and mezze, an assortment of small dishes that pack a punch of flavor.  The official currency is Lebanese pounds (LBP) also known as Lira. It’s okay if you have US Dollars - it is widely accepted in Lebanon.

If there was a beauty pageant for countries, Lebanon would be a strong contender for the crown. Known as the Paris of the Middle East, the capital city, Beirut has faced difficult times but has been resilient through it all. Take a picture at the “I love Beirut” sign and be prepared to mean it by the end of your trip as this country has a reputation for capturing hearts. Planning a visit?
